Velvet & Vinyl — A 35th in Bloom

Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: retro listening lounge in plum and brass, built around plum, brass, smoke. Florals — plum ranunculus, smoke bush, bronze orchids — were prepared in our studio the day before.

The host’s 400-record collection had to style the room and survive it — display frames kept every sleeve untouched by wine and candlewax.

Guests picked records as their table assignments and the dance floor DJ played the room’s own walls all night.
