Dinosaur Dig Day — Mateo Is Six

Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: paleontology camp adventure, built around jungle, fossil sand, lava orange. Florals — ferns and palm fronds — strictly prehistoric — were prepared in our studio the day before.

Thirty junior paleontologists digging simultaneously required four excavation pits and a strict no-sand-in-cake perimeter.

Every explorer left with a discovered fossil and a certificate; the volcano erupted (dry ice) exactly at candle time.
