The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: gallery-opening birthday for a creative, built around gallery white, frame black, brass label. Florals — single white orchid stems in gallery vessels — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
The décor WAS her portfolio — printing, framing and hanging 27 photographs to museum standard in secret took three weeks.
The result
She walked into her own retrospective at 27; sold two prints the same night, tearfully.
