The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: anniversary of the first date, recreated, built around first-date pink, picnic white, palm shade. Florals — the exact grocery-store tulips from their first date — upgraded to two hundred — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
The brief was a photograph of a 2016 picnic blanket — we rebuilt the scene shot-for-shot, then turned the luxury dial to ten.
The result
She recognised the exact spot before the car stopped; the upgraded snack plate made both of them laugh, then cry.
