The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: ivy-league garden dinner, built around ivy, diploma gold, parchment. Florals — white roses with ivy garlands and laurel — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
Mixing two proud families and one modest graduate — the design celebrated loudly so she wouldn’t have to.
The result
The kindergarten-to-cap wall drew the longest queue of the night; she kept the laurel wreath.
