The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: mini graduation picnic in primary pastels, built around crayon blue, sunshine, eraser pink. Florals — daisy bunches in paint-pot vases — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
A ceremony scaled to five-year-old attention spans: ninety seconds of pomp, then immediate cake — timed like a rocket launch.
The result
Twelve mini-graduates crossed the stage before a single meltdown; the handprint canvas hangs in the school hallway.
