The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: black-tie mystery dinner reveal, built around mystery ivory, clue gold, tuxedo. Florals — white roses concealing sealed clue cards — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
Five courses of clues had to stay genuinely ambiguous — the chef and florist swapped red herrings all week.
The result
Only grandma guessed right by dessert; the question mark popped pink over the petits fours.
