The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: scholarly celebration in oxblood and oak, built around oxblood, oak, manuscript. Florals — deep red ranunculus with book-page wraps — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
How do you decorate seven years of struggle? We framed her actual coffee-stained draft pages as art — with permission.
The result
Her advisor’s toast referenced page 137, framed on the wall behind him; the room understood completely.
