The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: garden fiesta in scrub teal and marigold, built around scrub teal, marigold, gauze white. Florals — marigolds and white daisies in mason-jar drips (iv humor, tastefully) — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
The family wanted playful medical humor without turning her achievement into a joke — one wink per zone, no more.
The result
The textbook piñata gave its life at 9 pm to universal delight; the new nurse danced in her graduation cap.
