The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: fusion celebration in fuchsia and gold, built around fuchsia, marigold gold, henna. Florals — ten thousand marigolds, fuchsia carnations, rose petals by the crate — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
A mandap on Friday and a Western reception on Saturday in the same hall — the overnight transformation ran with two full crews and zero sleep.
The result
Guests who left a jewel-toned sangeet returned to an ivory ballroom and applauded the room itself.
