The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: 50th anniversary in true gold, built around 24-karat, champagne, pearl. Florals — gold-brushed roses and fifty gilded stems, one per year — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
We rebuilt their 1976 head table from two faded photographs — sourcing period glassware took a month of estate sales.
The result
Harold recognised the table before Rose did and reached for her hand exactly like the old photo.
