The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: ruby anniversary family lunch, built around ruby, table linen, garden. Florals — ruby ranunculus, red charm peonies — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
The family recipe cards were the décor — digitising, enlarging and framing forty years of food stains with dignity.
The result
Lunch was her own menu cooked by her children; the framed recipe wall went home to five different houses.
