Cupid’s Speakeasy

Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: moody cocktail salon for couples, built around velvet red, plum, low light. Florals — burgundy carnations — reclaimed and luxurious — massed in brass — were prepared in our studio the day before.

Rehabilitating the carnation was the design thesis — massed by the hundred in brass, the "cheap" flower stole the room.

Forty guests mailed themselves love letters we posted a year later; several report the letters now framed.
