The preparation
Concept and palette were locked two weeks out: vintage fair proposal at closing time, built around carousel cream, carnival pink, brass. Florals — pastel balloons and rose garlands on every horse — were prepared in our studio the day before.
The challenge
Decorating a moving, century-old carousel without touching its paintwork took padded clamps and a conservator’s patience.
The result
The carousel stopped with her horse facing the ring; both families stepped out cheering from behind the booth.
